It is our priority to pass on a clean and healthy environment that is sensitive to climate change to future generations. Efficient use of energy and natural resources, reduction of negative environmental impacts in all processes from design to the end of the product's life, prevention of possible pollution at source, and prioritization of climate change and sustainability in all activities are very important to us.
We work with all our heart and strength to become an exemplary organization in our sector with our environmental leadership by managing our activities in an integrated manner with Quality, Energy, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems in order to increase the environmental awareness of our teammates and society.
We are audited by an impartial firm every year. Environmental analysis and environmental risk assessments are carried out within the scope of ISO 14001.
By implementing ISO 5001 Energy Management System standards, numerous benefits are provided on issues that are vital for our world, such as less greenhouse gas emissions, carbon footprint, greater energy awareness and greater participation.
Our products are within the scope of recyclable waste. We recycle the waste papers generated from our production with licensed companies. In 2020, more than 200 tons of paper were recycled in this context.
We pre-treat our wastewater resulting from our paper production in our treatment facility and then transfer it to the KOSBI central wastewater treatment facility. KOSBI collectively treats the wastewater coming from all companies and returns it to nature.
As Ve-Ge, we believe that if we do not want to take away the breath of the Earth, we have to protect trees. For this reason, we have been using only industrial forest resources for each product we produce with the FSC certificate we have had since March 2013.
